About Legends Printing
Legends Printing is a full-service firm in Dodge City, Kansas, serving not only the Wickedest Little City in the West, but all of Southwest Kansas. Our staff is highly experienced in digital typography and printing, and combined has over 120 years of experience in the industry!
Bob and Sonya Hughes bought KC Printing in 1981. The name was changed to Legends Printing in 1997. Bob is a power company employee while Sonya does the day-to-day managing of the business. Sonya has been in the printing business for over 30 years.
Currently, Legends is sailing the sea of technology, equipped with PCs, Macintosh G4s and G5s which work in tandem with a Lino 330, Xerox Docucolor and Epson Stylus Pro7800. Our software library consists of Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher.
Legends is a member of the Adobe Solutions Network™, a program in which printing companies work with Adobe developers to help fine-tune their software for the industry. Our WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) technology allows for great flexibility and speed, higher quality, and production savings. Once a document is approved by the customer, it is 'ripped' directly to film, then made up for whichever printing press it is scheduled for. The darkroom is no longer necessary!
